Rustang Revived: The Restoration of a 1968 Mustang
This Mustang was found on a farm by our customer Jeff. When he purchased it, he realized the car was completely rusted out, so he sent it to us for a full restoration.
First, we disassembled the car so we could assess the condition of the car and get an idea of what parts needed to be replaced. We then ordered all the parts we need so we could do a full engine, interior, and exterior restoration.
We then sanded down all the panels that were saveable to remove the rust and welded new metal pieces to panels that were too badly rusted.
We epoxy primed and undercoated the car
We replaced the fuel tank, brakes, and replaced many engine components and hoses
Next we focused on the body work to get the car ready for painting
Next, we sent it off to get painted
Then we completely redid the whole interior, adding insulation, heat shielding, and reupholstering everything
The finished project was nothing short of incredible
